Meet Baseball Legend Joe Castiglione!

An evening with Joe Castiglione. Meet Marshfield's legendary Red Sox announcer, soon to be honored with the Ford C. Frick award for excellence in broadcasting by the Baseball Hall of Fame, and hear stories from his distinguished career.

On Thursday May 9th at 7pm the Friends of the Ventress Library will host famed Red Sox Announcer Joe Castiglione, who will soon be honored with the Ford C. Frick award at the Baseball Hall of Fame!

The Friends of the Ventress Memorial Library are pleased to welcome legendary baseball announcer, Joe Castiglione, for an evening of stories from his distinguished career. In recognition of his exceptional work as the voice of the Boston Red Sox for 41 years, Mr. Castiglione will receive the Ford C. Frick Award for excellence in broadcasting from the Baseball Hall of Fame in July. Come meet one of Marshfield's most famous citizens and hear highlights from his amazing career!

This program will be held on Thursday May 9th at 7 pm in the Library Plaza Program Room at the Ventress Memorial Library in Marshfield. Parking on the playground side of the library is encouraged. Admittance is free, and donations will be gratefully accepted. Light refreshments will be served. Copies of Mr. Castiglione's books will be available for purchase. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Ventress Memorial Library, and all proceeds directly benefit the library.
