Who are the Friends?

We are a happy bunch who love our library! The Friends contribute time, money, and talent to support the Ventress Library with programming, museum passes, and funding. Members are welcome (but not obliged) to join our monthly meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, September through June. Contact the library for more info. We are a 501(c)3 organization, so your donations are tax-deductible.

The Friends invite you to join us on Thursday, April 10 at 7:00 PM for an exciting book talk presentation: At Home in the World: Reflections of a Travel Addict.

Matt Davis is a psychology professor, researcher, and world traveler who has visited 35 countries and made 40 road trips across the United States. In this one hour presentation, Professor Davis will share entertaining stories and photos from his adventures around the globe, offering insights and tips for traveling abroad. The presentation is free, although donations will be gratefully accepted. Copies of Professor Davis’s book will be available for purchase ($20 cash or check), and he’s pleased to personally sign them.

We hope you come to be entertained and perhaps inspired to embark on your own travel adventures. Refreshments will be available, too!
