Imagine Your Story: Summer Reading Program

Registration begins June 15. The Summer Reading Program runs July 1 through August 28!

Jump to First Lady & Blades Challenge | Rubber Ducky Club | Kids Summer Reading | Marshfield Elementary Schools

We have something for everyone! Our Summer Reading Program for kids includes two challenges: Rubber Ducky Club is for infants through preschool aged kids; our Kids Summer Reading Challenge is for kids entering kindergarten through fifth grade. If you have any questions, please call the library at 781-834-5535.

Registration: You have two options. If you have an email address and reliable internet access, you should sign your family up for the online program on Beanstack. If you don't have an email address or reliable internet connection, you can still participate by phone.

  • Online: visit our Beanstack site to register
    • Only one family member needs to register an entire family of readers (there is a summer reading challenge for everyone!)
    • Click "Register an Individual or Family"
    • Select "I am registering myself" to make your account first and automatically register for the adult summer reading challenge; you will then be able to add another adult and children
    • Enter your information first (regardless of which option you picked); you are the account creator
    • Choose an email address to be your login and a password - you will login with this one email and password to check off summer reading activities for every attached reader account (including your own!)
    • There is no obligation to complete a summer reading challenge once you are registered
    • If you wish, teens may register for their own separate accounts (they just need a unique email)
  • By Phone: call us at 781-834-5535 for more information!

First Lady & Blades Registration Challenge: From July 1 to August 14, if all of our summer reading challenge registrations combined reach at least 250 readers, we will be entered into a statewide drawing for Bruins prizes which include in game experiences such as riding a Zamboni ride, high fiving the players, and sitting on the bench during pregame, as well as signed memorabilia including jerseys and pucks. We will update the number of registrations on our website every week. Let's go Marshfield! Also, check out this list of Bruins players' favorite books!

End of Summer Reading Raffle: prizes will be announced in August!

Virtual Summer Events: information coming soon!

"Imagine Your Story" is sponsored by Ventress Memorial Library, the Massachusetts Library System, the Boston Bruins, and the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.

Rubber Ducky Club

Bonus Entries: Complete up to five extra activities to earn extra entries in the End of Summer Reading Raffle; one extra activity = one extra entry.

Other Information: A library card is not necessary to complete summer reading, but it is helpful. Register for your own ecard today!
